Samarthya roughly translates as "Capability". Its prime goal is to encourage the innate potential of persons with disabilities (PwDs), instill confidence and to sensitize and create awareness about disability related issues including accessibility. Its main motto is “Let’s make the world accessible’’.

A word about Founders…
Ms. Anjlee Agarwal and Mr. Sanjeev Sachdeva, persons with Muscular Dystrophy and assisted wheel chair users have been working as close knit team since 1996. Both have been trained on -Promotion of Accessible Tourism at Bali (Indonesia); Non-
Handicapping Environment for Disabled People by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) & Asia Pacific Development Centre on Disability (APCD), Bangkok (Thailand) and International Conference on Transport & Mobility for Elderly and the Disabled, Hamamatsu (Japan).

    Organizing Training of Trainers Workshops, Sensitization & Awareness Seminars/lectures for      Promotion of Barrier Free Environment for Architects, Urban and Town Planners, Policy      makers, Academic institutions, NGO’s and stake holders.
    Undertaking research studies and projects.
    Promoting self employment through handloom and handicraft expositions.
    Awareness cum Excursion tours for persons with severe disability.
